New 2022 Apple MacBook Pro 13″ M2 Laptop

2022 Apple MacBook Pro 13″ with Retina Display, M2 Chip with 8-Core CPU, 10-Core GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD

The 2022 Apple MacBook Pro laptop featuring the brand new Apple M2 chip was released in late June, and we’re seeing the first real discount in the wild. Amazon has the 13″ model for $1150, a substantial 12% price drop from its $1300 MSRP. The new M2 chip is about 20% more powerful than the previous generation M1 chip, which was already faster than any other CPU found on previous Apple MacBook laptops. The M2 chip is also extremely power efficient, with this laptop boasting up to 20 hours of battery life on a single charge. In addition to the new M2 CPU, this laptop features a gorgeous 13″ Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and P3 wide color, 10-core GPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

New 2022 Apple MacBook Air 13.6″ M2 Laptop

2022 Apple MacBook Air 13.6″ with Retina Display, M2 Chip with 8-Core CPU, 8-Core GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD

The 2022 Apple MacBook Air is the second M2-equipped latop to be discounted today. It’s normally priced at $1199 but Amazon is offering a $100 discount. The M2 CPU is the same one found in the MacBook Pro mentioned above, but instead of a 10-core GPU this one is equipped with an 8-core GPU. It has a slightly larger display (14″ vs 13″) and it’s lighter, weighing in at a mere 2.7 pounds. The Retina display boats 500 nits of brightness and P3 wide core, and the laptop is equipped with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

Wingspan Board Game for $39.94

Wingspan Board Game

Wingspan is an incredibly good board game. So good in fact that we deemed it the best board game of 2019. Improbably enough, the year’s hottest game is one about keeping birds in a nature reserve. But the wide appeal of the theme, lovely art and simple rules meant lots of players got to enjoy the fiendish engine-building game beneath. A choice of a mere four actions blossoms into an excruciating balance between adding birds, feeding them and scoring points. Yet tricky as it is, the pace of play leaves you itching for another try to evolve your strategies, while 170 bird cards ensure every game is different. The board game is worth it even at the $65 retail price, but today it’s nearly 40% off.

You can spend between $1 and $30, and you’ll get up to 10 Resident Evil games. If you were to buy them all at MSRP, they’d set you back $275. Like I said, sweet deal. But bundle goes away on August 24, so grab it before then if you want it. The games include the rebuilt editions of Resident Evil 2 and 3, as well as a 50% off coupon voucher for Resident Evil: Village.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $39.99

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Digital)

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch has dropped to $39.99, a 33% savings from its $59.99 MSRP. This is undeniably the best racing game for the Switch console. The base game includes a whopping 42 characters and 48 courses, and you can get 48 more courses as paid DLC. Choose from a dizzying array of fun game modes to choose from and the ability to play with up to 4 player split screen or even more over online multiplayer, and some of the best graphics to grace the Switch console. Forget best racing game, MK8 is a serious contender for best Nintendo Switch game, period.

iRobot Roomba j7+ Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal for $599.99

iRobot Roomba j7+ Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal

iRobot Roomba j7+ Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal

The Roomba j7+ is one of iRobot’s best Roombas. Unlike the similar i7+ model, the j7+ model has a front facing camera that can detect hazards (like pet waste) and avoid them; the i7+ has no such obstacle avoidance system. The j7+ can map out your floor plan and know which room it’s in, and it can detect different floor types and adjust its brush head to accomodate, it can sense dirtier areas and spend more time getting those spots clean, and it can connect to your mobile device for scheduling and more. The j7+ is upgraded with rubber brushes and a stronger suction system than the lower end Roombas. It also has a high-efficiency filter that traps 99% of dander and allergens.

However, the single best feature of the Roomba i7+ is the included dirt disposal dock. As soon as your Roomba’s internal dust tray is full, it will dock itself and empty its contents into a disposable bag tucked inside the dock. This reduces your Roomba maintenance by a truckload, since you normally have to empty out the dust tray after every single run.

Apple Watch Series 7 for $289.99

Apple Watch Series 7 41mm GPS Aluminum Smart Watch

The Apple Watch Series 7 41mm GPS model (in Red only) has dropped back down to $289.99, which is only $10 more than the best price we saw on Amazon Prime Day. The Apple Watch Series 7’s most obvious improvement from its predecessors is its larger screen. The Apple Watch Series 7 has a 20% larger screen and can now fit an entire touch-sensitive keyboard on the watch face itself. The display on the Apple Watch Series 7 is always-on, and is 20% brighter than the previous Apple Watch. In spite of increased brightness, the Series 7 boasts the same 18 hours of battery life, as well as 33% faster charging than the Series 6.

The Series 7 also follows Apple’s trend of emphasizing health-related features unique to the Apple watch compared to other smartwatches. There’s a blood oxygen and ECG app standard with the Apple Watch Series 7, as well as high and low heart rate and irregular heart rhythm notifications.

Razer Anzu Smart Glasses for $59.99 (Was $200)

Razer Anzu Smart Glasses with Interchangeable Blue Light Filtering and Polarized Sunglass Lenses and Hands-Free Calling

Razer Anzu Smart Glasses with Interchangeable Blue Light Filtering and Polarized Sunglass Lenses and Hands-Free Calling

The Razer Anzu glasses come with two sets of interchangeable lenses; blue-light filtering lenses for indoor PC use and polarized sunglass lenses for outdoor use. Blue light filtering lenses are designed to reduce eye strain and fatigue caused by high energy blue light emitted from your computer monitor. Blue light is a melatonin suppressor, and the theory is that using your monitor at night suppresses your natural sleep cycle. If that’s true, blue light filtering lenses should help you fall asleep better, even after an intense late night gaming session. The tinted polarized lenses work much like any regular pair of sunglasses; the polarized film provides 99% UVA/UVB protection and is designed to reduce glare and eliminate potential eye damage from the sun.

ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 3080 GPU $799

ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 3080 12GB OC Video Card
ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 3080 V2 12GB OC Video Card

ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 3080 V2 12GB OC Video Card

The ASUS ROG STRIX model is considered by many to be the very best RTX 3080 variant on the market. It’s usually hundreds of dollars more than the 3080 FE price. That’s in large part because of the incredible cooling potential of the massive 3-slot heatsink combined with the quietest triple fan cooling you’ll find on any RTX 3080. Despite the low noise levels, the ROG STRIX offers a significantly OC’ed 1890-1935MHz boost clock compared to the stock 1710MHz boost on the 3080 FE.

EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU for $869.99

EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB XC3 Ultra Video Card

The RTX 3080 Ti had previously been maligned as a “poor value” compared to the RTX 3080 and that’s because of one justifiable reason: it’s MSRP of $1100. That made it a whopping $400 more expensive than an RTX 3080. At 4K resolution, an RTX 3080 Ti represents a 10% performance increase over an RTX 3080, and that certainly wasn’t worth $400.

Fast forward to today and Amazon has the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti XC3 Ultra for $899.99. That’s only $150 more an RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra, and now the performance increase is actually quite tempting, especially if you’re gaming on a 4K monitor. If you’re running games at 4K, with an RTX 3080 you’ll be hovering at that threshold between good fps (50fps) and great fps (100+fps) in many newer games and that 10% speed bump from the RTX 3080 Ti could make all the difference in the world.

34″ Dell S3422DWG 3440×1440 Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor for $389.99

Dell S3422DWG 34" 3440x1440 Curved 1ms 144Hz VA Gaming Monitor

Dell S3422DWG 34″ 3440×1440 Curved 1ms 144Hz VA Gaming Monitor

Dell has the excellent 34″ Dell S3422DWG gaming monitor for the lowest price we’ve ever seen. At its current price of $389.99, it’s $60 cheaper than what we saw last Black Friday. This monitor features a 34″ 3440×1440 ultra-wide 1800R curved VA panel with a 1ms response time, 144Hz refresh rate, 3,000:1 contrast ratio and 90% DCI-P3 color coverage. It’s not officially G-SYNC compatible, although we have personally tested it and G-SYNC does indeed run fine on this monitor (as is usually the case with most gaming monitors these days). You get a 3 year warranty and it’s eligible for Dell’s Premium Panel Exchange, which allows you to get a free panel replacement during the warranty even if only one bright pixel is found.

Xbox Series S for $249.99

Xbox Series S

If you want to buy the Xbox Series S console standalone without any kind of bundle, then Adorama currently has it for an unbeatable price of $249, which is $50 off MSRP. The Xbox Series S can play all the same games that the Xbox Series X can play. It’s not as powerful as the Xbox Series X, but it runs games just as well as the Xbox Series S by outputting in native 1440p and upscaling to 4K. You also have access to the entire Xbox Series X library. It’s a great budget friendly solution to access all the amazing games that are on Xbox Game Pass and, of course, it’s $250 cheaper than the Xbox Series X.

Dell G15 15″ RTX 3050 Ti Gaming Laptop $685.99

Dell G15 15" Intel Core i5-11260H RTX 3050 Ti Gaming Laptop with 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD

Dell G15 15″ Intel Core i5-11260H RTX 3050 Ti Gaming Laptop with 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD

The G15 is Dell’s gaming-focused, value-minded series of laptops. They cost much less than a comparable Alienware laptop, but borrow some of the same internal features like the dual-fan active cooling system, Alienware’s Command Center software for tweaking gaming settings and optimizing performance, and choice of gaming oriented GPUs.

For a laptop in the $700 price range, you won’t find a more powerful GPU than the RTX 3050 Ti . An RTX 3060 equipped laptop usually runs for about $300-$400 more. The RTX 3050 Ti is a bit more powerful than the previous generation’s GTX 1660 Ti and supports DLSS for better performance in supported games and ray tracing for better lighting effects. This card should be able to handle just about any game on the G15’s 15″ 1080p display without a hitch. It’s paired with an 11th gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD.

Newest Apple TV 4K 32GB and 64GB Both on Sale

Newest Apple TV 4K 32GB
Newest Apple TV 4K 64GB

The Apple TV 4K happened to be one of Amazon Prime Day’s hottest sellers. Today the price has dropped down to the same as what we saw on Prime Day. The newest Apple TV features two major upgrades. It boasts an A12 Bionic processor that boosts graphics performance, video decoding, and audio processing and delivers high frame rate HDR with Dolby Vision. It also includes a new Apple TV remote. The overall build quality is better than before, but the biggest enhancements are a 5-way clickpad, mute button, and dedicated power button that works for your TV, receiver, and Apple TV.

Apple iPad 10.2″ 64GB for $299

Apple iPad 10.2" (64GB, Wi-Fi)

Apple’s latest 10.2″ iPad is a great option for school, work, or simply relaxing with your favorite movie, book, or streaming service. The 64GB model has dropped to $299, and you won’t find a less expensive current generation Apple iPad out there. The Apple A13 Bionic chip for fast CPU and GPU performance to tackle just about anything, and the large 10.2-inch Retina display ensures everything is bright and crisp during use. iPad also features both a front-facing camera for voice chat, and rear camera for taking photos and videos.

New Apple AirPods Pro for $179.99

Apple AirPods Pro Noise-Cancelling Earbuds

New MagSafe Model

Apple AirPods Pro Noise-Cancelling Earbuds

The current generation Apple AirPods Pro is one of the best sounding “truly wireless” earbuds you’ll find, especially at this price point. “Truly wireless” earbuds have no wires whatsoever; even the earbuds aren’t hardwired to each other. In addition to the excellent sound quality, the AirPods Pro is the only AirPods with active noise cancelling technology. That, combined with the inherent nature of in-ear earbuds, means that the AirPods Pro will provide better noise isolation than over-ear headphones like the Bose QuietComfort or the Sony WH1000XM5. If you’re thinking of getting a pair of new AirPods, we highly recommend jumping on this particular model.

New Release: 48″ LG UltraGear 48GP900-B 4K HDR OLED Gaming Monitor for $1296.99

LG UltraGear 48GP900 48" 4K (3840x2160) OLED Gaming Monitor

New Release

LG UltraGear 48GP900 48″ 4K (3840×2160) OLED Gaming Monitor

For those of you who love LG OLED TVs (for good reason) but don’t like the idea of using a TV for a computer monitor, there’s now an answer. LG has released its first UltraGear OLED gaming monitor. At first glance, the 48GP900 with its 48″ LG WOLED 10-bit color HDR display seems very similar to the 48″ LG C1 OLED TV. The panel is very similar, but there are some key differences. Instead of the semi glossy coating found on the OLED TV, the 48GP900 features an anti-glare low reflective coating that is undoubtedly a better fit for close up monitor usage. It also has DisplayPort connectivity and lacks the built-in Smart TV interface. It does carry over the HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K @ 120Hz compatiblity for PS5 and Xbox Series X owners, as well as VRR and G-SYNC support, but the 120Hz refresh rate can be overclocked to 138Hz when used as a PC monitor. Last and certainly least important of all, there is subtle RGB backlighting on the rear of the monitor that isn’t present on the OLED TVs. This is one of the best gaming monitors you’ll find on the market right now.

Kingston A400 960GB Internal SATA SSD

Kingston A400 960GB 2.5" Internal SATA Solid State Drive (SSD)

Kingston A400 960GB 2.5″ Internal SATA Solid State Drive (SSD)

My how SSD prices have fallen. Amazon is offering the Kingston A400 960GB SSD for a mere $64.99 from its original $104.99 MSRP. This is the least expensive price you’ll find for a 1TB SSD from a reputable brand. It might not the fastest SSD on the block, but with rated read speeds of 500MB/s and write speeds of 450MB/s, it will still blow past any traditional hard drive. Put it in an external SSD enclosure and you’ll have a great portable SSD drive.

Arcade1Up The Simpsons Arcade Cabinet

Includes Riser and Light-Up Marquee

Arcade1Up The Simpsons Arcade Cabinet with Riser, Light Up Marquee, and Themed Stool

Arcade1Up The Simpsons Arcade Cabinet with Riser, Light Up Marquee, and Themed Stool

Gamestop has the best deal on the Arcade1Up The Simpsons arcade cabinet by throwing in the riser, light up marquee, and the matching themed stool. The Simpsons cabinet is a 3:4 replica of the arcade original, making it approximately 4 feet tall. That said, a matching riser is included which raises the height by another 1 foot, giving you the option of both sitting and standing play. Up to 4 players can join in on the classic Simpsons side-scrolling arcade game as Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa. If you don’t have a buddy around to play with, you can hop onto the live WiFi (no subscription required) to play with other remote Arcade1Up players. In addition to the core The Simpsons game, The Simpsons Bowling is also preloaded.

HP Reverb G2 VR Headset

HP Reverb G2 VR Headset

This price has become even more attractive following the Meta Quest 2 price hike. The Reverb G2 normally sells for $599, but Walmart has it for $200 off. The Reverb G2 sports the second highest resolution of any VR headset with 2160×2160 pixels per eye (even more than the already impressive Quest 2’s 1832×1920 resolution), manual IPD adjustment, a far more robust headstrap than the Quest 2, inside-out tracking that doesn’t require external sensors, and off-ear headphones that maintain your peripheral hearing.

Roku Ultra LT 2021 4K HDR for $54.99

Roku Ultra LT 4K HDR Steaming Device

Walmart has the Roku Ultra LT 4K HDR streaming media player for only $55, down about 15% off its original MSRP. The Roku Ultra LT is almost identical to the $100 Ultra; the only two features it lacks are a USB port and Dolby Atmos support. It sports the same processor and memory as the Ultra, which means it excels at streaming at up to 4K HDR without a hitch. Roku still has one of the most intuitive smart TV interfaces around.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16″ Intel Core i7-12700H Alder Lake RTX 3070 Gaming Laptop for $1599

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16" Intel Core i7-12700 Alder Lake RTX 3070 Gaming Laptop with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16″ Intel Core i7-12700 Alder Lake RTX 3070 Gaming Laptop with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD

Walmart is offering an outstanding deal on the new Lenovo Legion 5 Pro laptop that is also equipped with the 12th generation Intel Core i7 Alder Lake CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. The RTX 3070 GPU in this gaming laptop also has a TGP rating of 140W, and it performs as well as the MSI Crosshair on paper. In real world benchmarks, the Legion 5 Pro is one of the best performing gaming laptops on the market. It also looks more like a standard laptop, so you might want to pick this over the Crosshair if you’re not into the gamer aesthetic.
